Top Pieces or known as Hairpieces: Top pieces are great!! for clients that are thinning on the top of their head. The extension adds thickness and volume to the top of the head to help camouflage thinning hair. The ones I have used either have a clip or micro beads keeping them in place. Clients do need to have them re-tightened from time to time. I teach you how to use them, wash them and how to take care of them.
What are the different types of hairpiece & hair extension attachment methods?
There are a lot of different kinds of hairpieces and hair extensions from bangs, to buns to pony tails. There are many methods of attachment to help secure the hair in place such as clips, wraps and combs. There is another method called fusions. This method is a glue adhesive that is a great way to add length and highlights while wearing your hairpiece, top piece or half wig. Fusion extensions are long lasting and non-damaging. Fusions last up to 6 months.
